As is becoming the tradition on Geocaching Saturdays with
lottia_paleacea we went and got vegan first then geocached this past weekend. This time it was to Wheel of Life the vegan chinese/thai place on Culver Drive in Irvine, then geocaching around that area (Woodbridge?).
First we tried the closest geocache I found to the restaurant,
The Castle Walls. However, it had clues to lead us to the coordinates for the one supposed
other castle in Irvine, but we didn't have a clue how to decipher that. So we just snapped a pic of the castle and went off to the next cache.

Next one was down the street in a park, supposedly for Members Only (and we forgot our jackets!) so we had to grab this one fast cuz I did't want a ticket.
We found
Lights... Camera... ACtion!, well,
lottia_paleacea did:

The description says it's in a 35mm film canister, but it's not.... yeah i dunno.
Here's me signing the log:
Then we went just down the street to another park (is Irvine the City of Parks or what?), for the geocache
Arbor Park. Took us a little bit, problems with our GPS's I think cuz of the coverage in teh area, but I found it.

After signing the log, we were off to the next one, but I did stop to smell the roses on the way out :3 Mmmm~
Then off to ANOTHER park, to find
Flock of Seagulls.
It was apparent when we got to the coordinates it would be among the birds of paradise (they look sorta like seagulls I guess) but all the recent logs said it was hard to find, buried in debris, and lots of spiders.... And we definitely can second that. We came across a black widow.
lottia_paleacea ventured in, wearing jeans:

But I opted to stay out of the spider webs, being in short shorts.
Either way, we couldn't find it. Maybe it was gone, maybe hidden in the mulch, but we didn't want to investigate further due to the wildlife.
There was another one in the same park, but across the length, so we walked down a ways to find
Keep It Green. After reaching hte coordinates, all I could think was of the trash cans near the gazebo it led us too, like not littering is very "Green".... But I was off. lol.
lottia_paleacea found it and climbed up to get it:

I thought there was no way anybody could reach it there, so it couldn't be that high, but it turns out if you can get up on the pillars... yep!

Terrain 2! lol

it was green, after all. A green tic-tac container.
Then we were off to another sort of park area nearby, where there were a lot of assholes in the small parking lot, and we had to walk really far to get by this cache off of a bike trail,
Havasu Or Bust!It said height is inversely proportional to difficulty of finding, and we were S.O.L. right off the bat cuz we're both short/average height. We thought it must be up in a tree by the bike path, cuz of the coordinates, but we couldn't see anything, and even if we could have who knows if we could've climbed the trees to reach it. So we gave up on that one.
The geocache is now "unavailable" on the web site so perhaps it really was gone.
We decided to call it a day and head back home. On the way back through Fullerton to stop by a thrift shop to look for geocaching fanny packs (I know.) I decided to track down a cache hidden by my twitter friend and Fullerton geocacher
@MercuryState.
In the description it says "not magnetic" which while TRUE, is totally a misleading hint :P Either way it wasn't too hard to find.

A painted altoid tin :3

Finally logged one of Merc's!
